When a chance pamphlet was delivered to a good friend's letter box, unbeknown to me, a call was made and an appointment for 'the free 60 minute personal training and counselling session' was discussed. My friend came to me and said "I've found an amazing lady who I think will help you so much. I've called her and she said that you should call to attend a 1 hour session next week and see how it goes". I owe my friend dearly for this became a turning point in my life.
I had not exercised in almost 10 years and with ongoing weight gain and loss and gain again, since having my two beautiful daughters, my self esteem deemed me almost redundant in figuring out how to get out of a yoyo dieter's nightmare. I hid behind my family using them as an external excuse in putting them first and fell way behind in caring for my mental and physical health. This was impacting severely on my ability to function normally. I also worried so much about how I would influence my two girls with this dreadful way of eating and living. I got to Julie in a bedraggled state and questioned how on earth could one session change my life?
On arrival at Julie's studio, I was welcomed by a calm, private and comfortable environment. Julie and I walked for about 45 minutes in the natural beauty of her neighbourhood and sat on her couch speaking for the rest of the session. On that walk, Julie promised me that I would lose the weight and that I could achieve my goals. She also promised me that she would walk me through each step of the way to reach that goal.
I walked away from that session with simple life altering advice, empathy, can do strategies and a new belief that I could face this. Not only that, I ended up doing 10 sessions over a 5 month period where true to Julie's word, she provided unbiased support and a platform where I could train or just simply flop on her couch and talk. Julie managed to fit in with my ever changing schedule; kids, full time work, husband away, travel with work and life's juggling act in general.
I can't recommend Julie highly enough. I found a genuine, smart, helpful and caring person within her dealings and learnt a lot about myself along the way. I joined a bootcamp and I walk on a treadmill up to 3 hours per week. I have lost a third of my goal weight to this point. Did that one session change my life? YES.

Hi, my name is Sandi. I'm 46 years old and until three months ago, exercise wasn't something that I thought or cared about. My exercise consisted of the occasional walk. I was finding it more and more difficult to lose weight but so easy to gain weight (I wonder why!)
I came home one night ver tired and feeling unsure about myself and who I was as a woman. I stood at my kitchen counter going through the mail and was immediately drawn to a flyer that had been dropped by Julie. Everything I was reading was screaming 'this is you', 'this is what you need'. I called Julie and made arrangements to visit her for a consultation and what's that saying...'the rest is history'.
I took the plunge and signed up for a 12 week complete transformation - a combination of personal training, nutritional advice, home training and counselling. OMG what had I done...? Well I can tell you this, I am now a changed person from the inside and out. Julie has been my rock throughout my journey (along with my family). Not only am I a healthier me, but a much happier me and that's so important. Julie has encouraged me every step, helped me to look outside my own little bubble and watched my many light bulb moments. With Julie's help, I have learnt that I don't like to run...but that's okay because I really enjoy walking now. There are many different ways that I can stay fit and healthy and that's all because of Julie. If one step didn't work for me, Julie created another step until we found the right mix. Along with some simple nutritional advice, I'm on my way to a lifestyle that's easy to follow. Julie, from the bottom of my heart thank you.

Just over 8 months ago, I received a flyer in my letterbox from Julie. I was overweight, unhealthy, unfit, and lacking in energy and strength. I am in my 50s and really saw the need to not only lose weight, but to be fitter and to maintain a healthier lifestyle. I have lost weight before with a commercial weight loss company through diet and walking, but ended up gradually putting the weight back on.
Through my time with Julie, I have learnt about weight training and muscle building, and the changes this has made to the shape of my body, strengthening my core, and improving my balance. I am now in my healthy weight range and have shaped up again, feel healthier, stronger, fitter and have more energy. I have learnt how to eat healthier and in proportion to what I really need. I enjoy a healthy balanced diet, which included a treat everyday so I don't feel deprived in anyway. I try to exercise most days for about 30 to 40 minutes. I actually enjoy keeping active by either walking or by doing resistance training, because I see and feel the benefit from it.
By having Julie as my personal trainer, I have gained so much. By having her do the journey with me, I have been able to obtain these results - I have lost 13kg and lost 10cm from my chest, 9cm from my waist and 13.5cm from my hips.
I have tried the gym before, but as there is no ongoing one on one training, I felt lost and didn't continue. Personal training has worked for me and has been life changing, giving me more confidence and improving my self image.

I'm not a person who was open to speaking up and asking for help, but after meeting Julie, I felt so much at home and so comfortable. I couldn't wait to get started.
